In principle, we only use your personal information for the fulfilment of the services we offer and as far as the provision of services allows.

The privacy policy is according to the law as of April 2018.

Blockbau Design GmbH ("We" in the following text), as the operator of the online offering at http://www.blockbau-design.de, is the responsible body for the collection, processing and use of personal data of the users of the online offering within the meaning of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We take the protection of your privacy and your private data very seriously.

We collect, process and use your personal data in accordance with the content of this privacy policy and the applicable German data protection laws, in particular the BDSG and the Telemedia Act (TMG). With this privacy policy we would like to inform you about the type of personal data we collect, process and use.

We reserve the right to alter these security and privacy practices as required by technical developments. In these cases, we will also adjust our privacy policy accordingly. Accordingly, please take note of the current version of our privacy policy.

Personal data

Personal data is individual information about your personal or factual circumstances. This includes all information about your identity, such as your name, e-mail address or postal address. In contrast, information that cannot be linked to your identity (such as the number of users of our online offering) does not count as personal information. You can generally use our online offering without disclosure of your identity and without providing personal data. However, for some of the services offered, for example when you order one of our catalogues, personal data will be collected from you. The data is collected, stored and used by us only for the purposes of the use of http://blockbau-design.de, in particular for the processing of customer inquiries.

Storage and processing of personal information
Your information will be stored by us on specially protected servers. These are protected by technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification or dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons. Access to your data is only possible for a few authorized persons. These are responsible for the technical, commercial or editorial maintenance of the servers. However, despite regular controls, full protection against all dangers is not possible. The transmission of our web pages and of your entries on our web pages over the internet takes place encrypted through HTTPS.

Transfer of personal data to third parties
Insofar as external service providers are used by us as part of the provision of services, their access to the data is also exclusively for the purpose of providing services. Through technical and organizational measures, we ensure compliance with data protection regulations and also commit our external service providers to this. Furthermore, we do not pass on your data to third parties without your explicit consent, in particular for advertising purposes. A transfer of your personal data takes place only if you have consented to the data transfer or if we are entitled or obliged to do so due to legal provisions and/or official or court orders. This may occur, in particular, to provide information for law enforcement purposes, security or enforcement of intellectual property rights.

Transmission abroad
As a global company, Blockbau Design relies on being able to transfer your data to other countries, for example if the central server where the data is stored is located in a third country. If your information is transmitted to a third country, we will do everything we can to prevent you from suffering any disadvantages as a result. Data will only be transmitted to countries that guarantee adequate data protection. Data may also be transmitted to countries that are not members of the European Union.

Information about your computer
Each time you access our online services, we record the following information about your computer, regardless of your registration: the IP address of your computer, the request of your browser, as well as the time and status of this request and the data transferred. We also collect information about the product and version of the browser used and the operating system of the computer. We record through which website the online offering was accessed. The IP address of your computer is stored only for the time of use of the online offering and then deleted or anonymized by shortening. The remaining data is stored for a limited period of time. We use this data for the operation of the online offering, in particular to detect and eliminate errors, to determine the utilization of the online offering and to make adjustments or improvements.

Note on the use of the newsletter service "MailChimp"
We use the list provider MailChimp to send our newsletter. MailChimp is an offer from The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 512 Means Street, Suite 404 Atlanta, GA 30318. This company is a member of the so-called Safe Harbor Agreement, a special privacy agreement between the European Union and the United States. When you register for our newsletter, the data you provide when registering will be transmitted to and stored by MailChimp. After logging in, you will receive an e-mail from MailChimp to confirm your registration ("double opt-in"). MailChimp offers extensive analysis of how the newsletters are opened and used. These analyses are group-related and are not used by us for individual evaluation. MailChimp also uses the analytics tool Google Analytics and integrates it in the newsletters if necessary. Further details on Google Analytics can be found in the section "Google Analytics". For more information about MailChimp and its privacy protection, please visit http://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/. Use of cookies

As on many websites, cookies are used for our online offering. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and hold certain settings and data for exchange with the online offering from us via your browser. A cookie usually contains the name of the domain from which the cookie file was sent, as well as information about the age of the cookie and an alphanumeric identifier.

Cookies enable us to recognize your computer and to make any pre-settings immediately available. Cookies help us to improve our online offering and offer you a better and more personalized service. The cookies we use are so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted after the end of the browser session. Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. However, you can disable the storage of cookies or set your browser to notify you when cookies are sent. Please note that you may be limited or unable to use our online service if you refuse to store cookies.

Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by changing your browser settings accordingly. In addition, you may prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. More information can be found at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en or http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html (general information about Google Analytics and privacy).

Google Conversion Tracking
As an AdWords customer, we also use Google Conversion Tracking, an analytics service provided by Google, on our homepage. Google will store an additional cookie on your computer ("conversion cookie") if you have accessed our online offering via a Google ad. This cookie loses its validity after 30 days and is not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages of ours and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the ad has been clicked and redirected to our site. Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers. The information gathered using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords customers can see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users. If you do not want to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse the required setting of a cookie - for example, via a browser setting that generally disables the automatic setting of cookies. You can also disable cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "googleadservices.com".

Children and adolescents under the age of 18 should not submit any personal information to us without the consent of their parent or legal guardian. We do not specifically request personal data from children or adolescents, do not collect them consciously and do not pass them on to third parties.
